Cacharel

Cacharel Designer History:
Bousquet the son of a sewing machine retailer, Jean Louis Henri Bousquet was virtually born into the fashion world in Paris, 1932 and was later properly trained in college school as a tailor. He labored two years professionally as a fashion designer prior to going back to Paris to establish his first fashion house. He drew his first creations in a small studio and set up his fashion house in a garret in the Marais. His following success encouraged him to envisage and establish Cacharel in 1962, a business of ready-to-wear apparel, fragrances and accessories influenced by his distinct perception of women’s social progression. In 1964 he presented the homonym business with a selection of brilliantly colored dresses and blouses that infuriated the fashion world but was indisputably a triumphant name inspired by the garganey, a scarce breeding duck native to Arles, France.

Femininity, lightness, delicate and gentle shades, impressing excellent elements, refinement right down to the smallest aspect, youth and genuineness outline the enlightening transformation smooth blend of conventional and contemporary impacts that have added to the brand's success.

The appearance in Paris of the first blouse series thrilled with its pleasant tones and the disappearing of the popular "pointed darts". It displayed a perspective of a woman who is natural, feminine, stylish and lively. The creation of the seersucker blouse, which evolved into a reference for a era of women, succeeded by the front cover of ELLE magazine in 1963, introduced Cacharel to the world scene.

Noting an additional level of fascination, besides being the Chairman of Cacharel, Bousquet was also the mayor of Nimes from 1983-1995.

Continuing to be a privately held business, today’s contemporary transformation of the brand is fronted by the Brit design and style team, Clements Ribiero. The appearance keeps faithful to its origins: youthful, unique and modern, but including merely the ideal level of back trend style to the once-growing era of pret-a-porter.

Cacharel Fragrance History:
The year 1975 witnessed the partnership of Bousquet with the fame of L'Oreal for the creation of fragrances, and in 1978 the extremely successful perfume, Anais Anais, was launched, known for its lily- influenced scent and as a reflection of femininity poetically in seek of its character. Numerous more successful perfumes were to follow, such as: Loulou, Cacharel pour l'Homme, Eden, Loulou Blue, Gloria, Eau d'Eden, Noa, Nemo, Amor Amor, Amor Amor Eau Fraiche, Noa Fleur, Noa Perle, Promesse and Amor pour Homme. The latest in this amazingly successful fragrance collection is Liberte, inspired by the French cake, chamonix. The latest face of Liberte and Cacharel Parfums is top model Gisele Bundchen, following the famed footsteps of Kate Moss for Anais Anais and Laeticia Casta for Promesse.
