Nino Cerruti was born September 25, 1930 in Biella, Piemonte, in Italy. He is an Italian entrepreneur and stylist. He established his own haute couture house, Cerruti, in 1967 in Paris. Today, he directs the Italian family business Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti, which was established in 1881 by his grandfather.

In the 1980s, Cerruti started a venture with the movie industry. From films like Bonnie and Clyde, Pretty Woman to Basic Instinct, the company Cerruti created outfits for actors such as Sharon Stone, Julia Roberts, Michael Douglas, Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Bruce Willis, Robert Redford, Harrison Ford, Al Pacino and Jean Paul Belmondo just to name a few.

Nino Cerruti Fragrance History:
Cerruti fragrances reflect his always straightforward however motivating beliefs. In 1979, the Cerruti house gained access to the universe of high-quality fragrances with Nino Cerruti pour Homme, soon enough to be accompanied by Cerruti 1881 pour Homme in 1990 and Cerruti Image in 1998 that were matched by the women’s versions Nino Cerutti 1987 and Image in 2000.
