Moschino

The company was initially established in 1983 by the past Franco Moschino (1950-1994). Imaginative and characterized by the attack on established beliefs in the fashion industry, from youth, Franco Moschino appeared in fashion nearly accidently. Moschino and his fashion brand grew to be popular for his revolutionary, vibrant - at times unconventional - styles, for his disapproval of the fashion enterprise and for his public conscious promotions in the beginning of the 90s.

A unusual man not having a proper schooling, he started as an illustrator for Gianni Versace when he decided to leave and in 1983 introduced his own label.

He began with jeans and casual wear that was instantly succeeded by footwear, lingerie, extremely unique eveningwear, and inevitably a fragrance.

Usually referred to as a creator and a "mad hat" but his excellent mastery of the traditional principles of "cutting and stitching" are the foundation for most of his masterpieces which come to existence with a powerful effect of paradox and a sharp sense of humor.

When Moschinos prematurely passed away in 1994, Rossella Jardini, his past associate, turned into creative director. The company has become a section of the Aeffe fashion group since 1999. In 2006, the house of Moschino created the clothes for the starting ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Moschino also made dresses for Madonna's 2008 Sticky and Sweet Tour and even for Kylie Minogue's 2005 Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour. In Milan, Moschino started its private concept hotel in 2009 known as the "Maison Moschino".

The company comprises of a number of brands including Moschino women's and men's main series along with the first ladies fragrance Moschino introduced in 1987 and the men’s version Moschino in 1990, Moschino Cheap and Chic women's alternative collection established in 1988 with the matching fragrance collection rolling out seven years later in 1995 with CheapAndChic perfume, Love Moschino women's and men's influence series, known as Moschino Jeans from 1986 to 2008, in order of uniqueness. Furthermore we have accessories, jewelry, more perfumes and cosmetics, and even jet helmets are offered with the Moschino brand. Most recent releases in the Moschino fragrance collection are Pink Bouquet perfume for women 2012 and the very new 2013 CheapAndChic Chic Petals. The latest men’s release is Moschino Forever from 2011.
