Agreeable but it does not deserve the coronas that people putting around it when they describe it.

Alfred Dunhill Desire is a really fabulous fragrance. The low price might seem misleading but this is really a forceful blend of mastery. From the amazing lemony apple opening to the vanilla rose heart and the musky woods in the final trail make this simply divine. The quality of this at the price its selling is excellent and at least worth a try.

This smells like a bowl of fresh fruit. Reminds me of fruit loops and fruity pebbles. I've gotten a few comments by the ladies, I like it on me. I will finish my 3.4 oz bottle, I dunno if I will buy it again. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but lately I am hooked on sexual by germain and angel men. I like the dunhill fresh too for summer time

Love it or hate it? I dunno, Im caught in between.

I love love love the bottle, bit iffy about the scent. It seems edgy and synthetic to start, but softens agreeably, but then another pervasivly unsettling note comes out to play (synthetic rather than real, natural rosewood, methinks) and ruins the whole matinee...

My assessment? The synthetic fruits need to be toned down and softened, particularly in content. Perhaps a dash of oakmoss to provide a tempering dryness? A little more musk, vanilla and labdanum? Anything to provide more grounding, and temper the synthetic, headache inducing top-notes.

Sporty indeed. Just bearable to wear out. Nice for school/uni. Needs to be re-editioned, improved. softened. tempered.

I wore this several years ago and then stopped. Put it on again the other day and forgot how loud it could be. It's so syrupy sweet in the beginning but the drydown is pleasant enough. Wouldn't wear every day but from time to time. In 2002 it was over over used. Now that you don't smell it quite as much maybe I'll take it out again.

There's not too much to describe that hasn't been described below. The intense sweet, sweet fruitiness is a little too much to bear. It takes about 4 hours on my skin before vanilla and musk are noticeable, but even then its not enough to balance the sweetness that pervades. Desire is sweeter than Individuel. The sillage and longevity are great - it's just too bad there isn't something to temper the topnotes as it dries. Great if you like sweet - avoid if you do not.
