I'm into Musk fragrances and I adore Alyssa Ashley Musk aroma and I always use this paired with the body lotion.. it feels absolutely divine and so sexy.. I can't even remember how many compliments it has brought over the years.

I have nothing but love for Alyssa Ashley musk. Close in character to my number one drugstore musk choice, Jovan Musk, Alyssa Ashley is shampoo-ish (think Breck, Wella Baslam, Revlon Flex) with notes of balsam and maybe a tiny touch of soap. What makes the Ashley different enough from Jovan to merit having and loving both is a touch of powderiness and a little, almost barely perceptible trace of spiciness (don't think "spiced musk" though, because it's not like that at all.) It's just a little softer than Jovan, with the little spicy warmth a bit reminiscent of the also-great Coty Wild Musk. Given the fabulousness of this fragrance (which I wear in oil form, by the way), I'm dying to try the Ashley rendition of vanilla. I need to track that down one of these days it's got to be amazing!

Still one of the best musks available. Big plus for a huge amount of side products.

Kind of surprising that although it was marked unisex in the first place; it hasn't found its way to the use of men. This is most of the times considered to be a fragrance for ladies. For instance, this is quite popular here in Finland (has always been) but I have never heard that some man actually used it.

Kind of shame, this. It IS quite clearly more towards feminine side for sure, but still extremely suitable for men too. (C’mon!!)

Clean, fresh, floral musk. Extremely versatile. Smells very good and is available in 3 different concentrations. (EdT, EdP, Parfum)

I wore this in the late 70s. was shocked to learn that it is still available. I bought mine on ebay but later discovered, and rather enjoyed, her website www:alyssaAshley.com. I say that I enjoyed the website because I liked the music that plays when you visit the site. It is a flute and it issues a soft call to my old memories. I was disappointed when a man's voice intruded to announce the fragrances - just flute please!
I have this in the EDT and the perfume oil. The EDT is, to my nose, too harsh and lacks the character I remember. The perfume oil - perfect. It is a clean, slightly floral musk. It is like nothing else I have ever smelled since 1978, I have been told that Jovan Musk is much preferred to this - I prefer the Alyssa Ashley - it's almost as if it is sincere and serene whereas the Jovan seems, by comparison, more modern, bolder, and more direct.
