Burberry The Beat is a surprisingly unique aroma with a deep freshness that is soft and cuddling. I just love to smell this all day long and it brings me so many compliments.

Signature scent, and I can see why - seems to be very popular!
It does fade, but in phases. After the first application, it's sweet (not cloying), bright (summer/spring), playful and an absolute attention getter. I've had several people sniff the air around me and say, "oh god, so pretty." Perfect, gentle combination of musk and citrus - I first smelled this on a tarted up girl at a dinner party, so I'm associating it with more sophistication than it deserves. It's actually quite youthful and innocent.
It fades into a soft musk, lower on citrus. Still divine, but short lived.

I always spray this on my clothes because it feels like a refreshing non-invasive lift me up. I don't feel obnoxious wearing this perfume in public areas such as the office or public transit. The top note carries a grape-y kind of smell to me, like grape candy. But that just might be "mandarin orange" ... or "pink pepper", whatever that is.

After my successful purchase of Burberry Weekend about a month ago I thought I would give a few other Burberry scents a chance while I was out shopping on date night. I came across The Beat and fell head over heels! I havent had a scent sweep me away like that since Heat by Beyonce.(which is still my signature scent) its all of my favorite scents (tea, bergamot, pink pepper, cardamom, iris, and mandarin) all rolled into one. Its stunningly fresh and delicious. I ended up buying the gift set (which included the 50ml parfum, the purse sized 5ml parfum and the body lotion). I will be able to wear it all year round and is now one of my all time favorite scents.
