Calvin Klein Eternity Summer 2006 is among my beloved summer fragrances. The arising note provided from the scent of sweet grapefruit and the pink pomelo complemented by the lemon, fig and also the notable violet note make the passage to the center of this aroma so welcoming. The blend of magnolia, the touch of gardenia, the delicateness of lotus and the freshness of the white jasmine call to mind the summer season. The foundation note of mimosa brings the right amount of spice when the sage, sandalwood and musk mix straight to a relaxing calm dry down. Altogether a CK marvel!

I was craving for something fresh, which normally I am very picky about. The description was very intriguing and I went for a quick test.First try was not too bad - sage, citrus, sandalwood - and got me interested. On the second try it opened up as an ordinary fresh scent.

Eternity Summer 2006 is an airy, breezy, soapy floral. The opening is citrus and fruity according to the pyramid. I get grapefruit and verbena, but I don’t smell the fig note that is supposed to be there. I don’t know if the fig is supposed to be the fruit or the leaf, but I guess it doesn’t matter because I can’t smell it either way. The heart notes are floral – honeysuckle, jasmine, and magnolia says the pyramid I say honeysuckle and a bit of jasmine. The base is musk – the only note that I can firmly identify in the base. The fragrance is more light than not and very feminine. It has an airy feel to it, and I don’t get a lot of sweetness. A pleasant fragrance with decent sillage and longevity.

This is one of my favorite summer scents. The awakening note obtained from the aroma of sweet grapefruit in the pink pomelo accompanied by the lemon, fig and oh so prominent violet note make the journey to the heart of this fragrance inviting. The combination of magnolia, the hint of gardenia, the subtlest of lotus and the crispness of the white jasmine remind me of summer days. The base note of mimosa add just enough spice while the sage, sandalwood and musk blend into a soothing mellow dry down. Overall, a CK wonder!
