Dune is one of my all time favorites. It's like a cashmere blanket that engulfs you in warm luxury. It's powdery without being too soft, It's spicy without being harsh or cloying. It's a little sweet without being childish. It's actually perfect.

I truly appreciate Christian Dior Dune perfume. It possesses an aroma similar to rosewood and chocolate to my nose. There's additionally an airy quality to it, not the usual fresh air one might expect but the dry hot desert air. Not playful but noticeable and very unique aroma.

Dune is just one of those perfumes that whispers to you, elegant, sensual and calming too. Wore it for many years in the 90s. Might go back for another bottle. I am now remembering why I loved it so much then. Go try it, you won't be sorry!

This is one of the most beautiful fragrances I have ever experienced. It has been a fragrance staple of mine for 13 years, ever since it was given to me as a present for my 18th birthday by a classmate. I love big oriental fragrances, but this is the only oriental fragrance that I know of which possesses such singular, sheer freshness without losing any of the ambery, spicy goodness that characterizes oriental scents. This is sweet without being syrupy, spicy without being musty, sheer without being boring, floral without being old fashioned, with outstanding sillage and lasting power to boot. A joy from first spray to drydown. Classic.

How I love this perfume, an aged, yet timeless classic, and still one of the most complex and misunderstood perfumes on mainstream shelves. The benzoin-aldehyde composition complexes the fragrance into something difficult to describe, but ultimately superb. I love the rich wood and spices and very much love the salty, earthy and very dry feeling this fragrance offers. For much this perfume isn't just about olfactory sensation, but moreover about the ethereal tactile quality it offers as well. I almost always wear this on hot dry summer days, its just so fitting. One of my forever loves, Dune will always have a place in my fragrance collection.
