I came to know Christian Dior Jules many years ago when i was in search of another aroma. A spicy green highly masculine aroma that make you absolutely lovable.

One of Dior's great men's scents. Relatively unknown for a while, it dropped below the radar until Dior began to offer it more widely for sale again in the U. S. a couple of years later. This is a woody, leather (and tobacco?) scent with some unusual green notes in the top. Florals in the heart are kept in low profile by the more assertive notes, but are definitely there and eventually revealed for what they are. The base is woody, mossy, leather, a touch of oriental, and the impression of tobacco. I suspect this is a scent made to please a man. Don't think it would appeal much to many women, though they might grudgingly tolerate on a man they really liked...

Back in the 80s I wore Jules and always thought that it was the perfect fragrance for all year round. It seems like a much lighter version of Kouros but sweeter. I couldn't find it anymore until I traveled to Paris and got it there. It's been reformulated but it's the same juice and last longer. A treasure indeed.

This rare beauty is a gorgeous woody, spicy fragrance which is meant for the men and not the boys. It's not one of those wishy washy unisex floral fragrances which is trying to be something that it isn't. Joules knows exactly what it is and makes no excuses. This is a fabulous, sophisticated scent, full of flavour and personality. It makes a statement and is not meant for the young or faint hearted. Why oh why did Dior discontinue this amazing perfume? Does anyone know if it will ever make a comeback?
The day this fragrance was discontinued was a tragic day for perfumistas everywhere.
