Davidoff Zino Davidoff for men - Opinios Reviews

Zino is one of the all-time greats. I'm talking the vintage version with the words "Zino Davidoff" written in script and not the newer version where only "Zino" is in script and "Davidoff" is in a more modern font. I haven't smelled the new version as I've been able to buy the vintage even now at decent prices.
It opens with lavender and rosewood combined with bergamot and clary sage. Some people are put off by the opening but it's fine to me. I believe it's the combination of the sage and the rosewood that people react to. In the mid we're greeted with lily-of-the-valley and a very present masculine rose. All the while the rather herbal opening sticks with us. At some point vanilla starts wafting in signaling the final drydown. Luckily the vanilla is never allowed to dominate as patchouli and sandalwood keep it in check.
All told it's a timeless classic, a manly spicy/woodsy gem from a time before IFRA regulations neutered tons of excellent fragrances. From before the dawn of the 90s and the advent of the insipid blues and sports and unisex atrocities. From when guys smelled like guys and gals like gals.

My statement, this stuff is great... I just have the vintage. Zino Davidoff is elegant, refined, downplayed, capable, sure, thus so cool. Zino is an amiable knave. A respectable man with a sound dull side. A well off industrialist, with just a standard investment account. A solid man that drives a simple car. His suits are off the peg, however he gets them custom-made subsequently, to flawlessness. He looks after everybody, except he has couple of companions. He wore unblemished white mentors/shoes to a wedding before the trendy people had facial hair.

Beautiful and classic fragrance for the modern man of today. This fragrance reminds me of cold and cloudy days in Europe.

Great classic smelling fragrance. This scent is fantastic, one of my favorites for a night out. Quite strong, lasts well, very masculine and powerful. One of the best fragrances I own and wear it with every opportunity I can. I suggest everyone to find and try this. it is the perfume of Johnny Depp as I read!
