Bvlgari

Bvlgari Designer History:
The Bvlgaris originate from a Greek silversmith family in the community of Epirus, where the designer of the family, Sotirio, created valuable items in silver. In 1884 Sotirio immigrated to Italy where he started his first store on the via Sistina in Rome. In 1905, with the support of his sons Giorgio and Costantino, he opened a second store in Rome on via Condotti, which is presently the flagship main store. Sotirio’s sons developed a constant fascination in precious stones and jewels, and over time over-took their father's position. Through the 1950's, the Bvlgari brand’s distinct designs emerged to light and received the reputation it well deserved, and the 1970s carried international growth, with retail outlets in New York, Monte Carlo, Paris and Geneva.

The business presented its first selection of silk scarves in 1997, and after a year presented leather bags and eyewear. In 1999, table and giftware ranges completed the company’s different offerings. Ever since, the Bvlgari label has continued to be identified as high-class and excellent quality.
