Since its founding in 1828, Guerlain has called on artists to enhance its creations. Since 2005, this link has grown ever stronger, with Haute Parfumerie, where exceptional materials meet artistic know-how, whether with the numbered edition of sumptuous Exceptional Pieces, or with the L' Art & Matter. Currently the perfumer has chosen a collaboration with the house of Matisse, founded in 2019 by Jean-Mathieu Matisse, one of Henri Matisse's great-grandsons to transmit the values of the great painter. It will make 2023 the Matisse year for Guerlain, with extraordinary limited editions inspired by two paintings by the artist. Two patterns in the colors of happiness signed Maison Matisse, one of which adorns an exceptional piece "Le Flacon aux Abeilles", Maison Matisse Edition, and the other, three new editions of the L'Art & La Matière collection. A major artist of the 20th century, Henri Matisse (1869-1954), discovered painting late, and upset the codes of that of his time.
