Updates and flankers usually are a step down from the original. This one is a definite step up! Lacoste took the strengths of the original and added more strength to a good frag! It's got a fresh, citrusy and gingery top with a tuberose and jasmine middle and a leather + woods bottom. The mixture is balanced, smooth, relaxing AND refreshing, enjoyable. Masculine for sure, but not in a barbershop, old-man, musky kind of way. In fact, no musk at all (yea!). On a par with any Creed or Bond frags. You will NOT regret this purchase! Sooo worth it!
