Acqua di Parma Note di Colonia V New Fragrance

Note di Colonia V is developed as a new aroma paying homage to Parma 2020, orchestrated with art, takes up the delighted movement of one of the most loved arias, "The woman is mobile", by Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto. Encapsulated in the classic Cologne bottle, adorned with hand-made techniques that make it a real jewel. A creation that communicates the Maison's passion for skillfulness and its belonging to the city of Parma, also named Capital of Perfume in Italy.

The beauty of Arts awake Tradition

A delicate appreciation of language brings music and perfume closer to each other. A similar redolent strength, intangible and outstanding. Aerial and unseen the olfactory notes, like the sounds of a symphony, vibrate in space and in the soul, growing sensations.

Acqua di Parma respects its history by being partner of Parma 2020. Vital center of theatre and music, visual arts and architecture, Parma is titled the next Italian Capital of Culture. In the city of Giuseppe Verdi and Arturo Toscanini, where on the celebration of Parma 2020 there is an exciting Museum of Perfume, Acqua di Parma begins its heritage over a century ago. Right from the title, the Maison reveals the strong connection with its city of origin. It was 1916 when Baron Carlo Magnani, cultured and noble heir of one of the oldest families in Parma, developed a perfume for himself a fresh and modern fragrance that denotes his Italian gentleman style.

Colonia Acqua di Parma is created, a new classic destined for timeless success. The unique composition of this Eau de Cologne conveys the Italian sun with its Golden Fruits - lemon, bergamot and orange - meticulously chosen and still hand distilled today.

The Melody of Sound and Smell

The olfactory pyramid remembers the structure of the orchestra. At the starting is the whole section of the violins to disperse in the air with the sparkling notes of Italian citrus fruits. A joyful waltz of lemon and bergamot from Calabria, marked by the lively and light beat of pink pepper. It is the introduction to the swift entry of the heart notes. As in a crescendo of woodwinds and clarinets together with the tenor's voice, the set off between the radiant spirit of ginger and the fresh aromatic tonalities of juniper creates a real sensorial surge. A few instances and the song disappear into a whisper when the Duke leaves the stage. The sound dithers and softens unveiling the amber notes of sandalwood and cedar, which give endurance to the perfume like music which, at the end, still remains dangling in the air. A powerful composition full of individuality.

Since the 1930s, Cologne has been protected in the Art Deco bottle that has come to be an icon ever since. And since that time the image of the Maison remains in connection with the city. The distinguished and bright Parma yellow of hatboxes and packaging is influenced by the palaces of Parma caressed by the sun. The coat of arms of the brand takes up the ducal coat of arms of the era of Maria Luigia, among the periods of utmost splendour of the city for the arts and culture. Parma is also one of the most significant cradles of Italian melodrama, to which Acqua di Parma commits the precious Note di Colonia collection. Olfactory compositions which, in a refined reference between music and perfume, are stimulated by some of the most famed creations.
