Bond No. 9 Gold Coast New Perfume

Bond No.9 Gold Coast launches this autumn, from the most legendary perfume house in New York celebrating, with a new olfactory design, the timeless magnificence and youthful liveliness of one of the city's most historical areas.

The Golden Season of the Year

Encased in a stunning rose-gold bottle, Bond No. 9 Gold Coast is an excellent fragrance choice for the Autumn months. It’s breezy and sparkly, as a result of fresh, luscious notes of lychee, apricot, red apple, and watermelon, and yet it's also abundant and attractively floral, with the addition of rose extract and a foundation of cedar-wood, vanilla, and musk.

New York is a city for strolling, and what greater autumn walk is the Gold Coast in the center, that fascinating stretch of Fifth Avenue that extends from 14th Street straight to the victorious marble arch of Stanford White, at the base of Washington Square Park?

Sprinkled with trees and outfitted by majestic pre-war buildings of red brick and pale stone, this strip in the heart of Greenwich Village is rich in history and culture, yet at the same time living by the youthful vigor of the students of the numerous universities found.

Feel the electric vibe of the city

With Gold Coast, Bond No.9 makes a fragrance that is a picture of a city that is always transforming, but which keeps its identity and its heritage: the meeting of the prestigious old guard of New York with vitality and spirit of a new generation.

Bond founder and president No.9, Lauren Rahmé notes: "We wanted to capture the energy around Washington Square Park - something that was downtown and that was young,"

Capturing the idea of optimism and elegance in a bottle, fresh air and endless opportunities. To achieve this, "we wanted the freshest rose we could ever do," says Rahmé. A gentle but vibrant and contemporary rose all at once, which turns into a true signature of the perfume owing to its sillage: the rare capacity to linger prudently in the air.

Never ending transformation of style

To re-create the most legendary flower of perfumery, Rahmé looked to Michel Almairac, the famous nose behind a series of successful home fragrances, from The Scent of Peace and New York Nights to Lafayette Street and Madison Avenue.

"We needed a very special perfumer to create a perfume that was persistent and fresh, with character. That's why I trusted Michel: he knew how to do it.": says Rahmé

To produce a memorable bouquet that was daring yet feminine and gentle while not being dusty, Almairac blended the top notes of bright lychee, apricot and crunchy red apple (what greater way to capture the spirit of New York?). With the heart notes of a single rose extract from southern France and lush watermelon. Cedar wood, vanilla and moss round off the perfume.

The outcome is relaxed but casual, like the woman who wears it; a sophisticated classic with a strong balance, like the Gold Coast itself.

The subtle and vibrant scent of the Gold Coast rose is reflected in the latest presentation of the familiar shape of the Bond No.9 bottle: metallic pink gold on which the seal of the signature New York Token of the house is laser-engraved.
