Bvlgari Le Gemme Fragrance Collection

The luxurious house of Bvlgari has revealed its Le Gemme Perfume collection, a new selection of luxurious fragrances influenced by semi-precious gems and their trade paths from the depths of their heritage. Each aroma arrives bottled in glass amphora's that appear like ancient Roman urns that had been used to carry treasured supplies. The Le Gemme Perfume Collection is now the brand's very first luxurious perfume series.

Each of the scents in the Le Gemme collection is given its name influenced by a semi-precious gemstone. The six perfumes include Lilaia the peridot gemstone, Ashlemah the amethyst gemstone, Amarena the tourmaline gemstone, Noorah the turquoise stone, Maravilla the citrine gemstone, and Calaluna the moonstone. All six aromas are the creation of perfumer Daniela Roche Andrier.

The Le Gemme collection is a fragrant interpretation of the fine gemstones that inspire all Bulgari exquisite jewelry.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Amarena: Expression of love and excitement, a call to desire and sensuality. Tourmaline takes us South of the Equator to the colors, music, aromas and lavishness of Brazil. Amarena is an evocative name signifying “Morello cherry” in Italian, a playful, colourful, lush perfume that reflects the effusion of brilliant, vibrant femininity.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Noorah: Reminiscent of the Orient, the turquoise takes us on a voyage down the Silk and Spice Routes of yore. The most beautiful pieces appear in the location of Nishapur, an extremely historic city in Central Asia, and one of the crossroads of the legendary Silk Route. Caravans of Turkish merchants introduced the turquoise to Europe and that is the way the gemstone came to be named.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Maravilla: The gem of the morning sun, a lustrous stone that, like the lemon, arrives from warm, summery locations. Citrines are known to present good vibrations, stimulate an optimistic attitude and strengthen intelligence. Maravilla, signifying “delight”, evokes the fascinating energy of the Mediterranean brightness and its exuberant enjoyment of life.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Lilaia: Such as peridot, Lilaia shows natural elegance, solace and revival. The peridot travels us back to Ancient Egypt, a gem from the time of the Pharaohs. Its glowing "light-green" colour is representational of living, abundance and regeneration; it is the green of Mother Nature. The title Lilaia evokes a Greek Goddess of Spring who nurtures lowering, growth and rebirth.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Calaluna: The protector angel of femininity. Owned by the forces of the moon, such as receptivity, instinct and magnetism, moonstones bring women in balance with their nature. Calaluna is an evocative name that pays homage to a beautiful gulf in Sardinia where the sand, mirroring the water, has a moonlit tone.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Ashlemah: Influenced by the Amethyst, a religious gemstone, expression of perfect harmony. This gem takes us to relaxation, awareness and spirituality. Amethyst is linked with the divine, with elevation of the soul, and purity. It is believed that amethysts deliver clearness to our dreams. “Ashlemah” signifies “sweet dreams”, a really noble, recognized fragrance that wraps you in aristocratic classiness.

Each aroma from Bvlgari's new Le Gemme perfume collection is expected to be available in 30ml 100ml and 350ml editions of Eau De Parfum formulation. Supply has already initiated in Europe and Asia with the US availability expected at the beginning of 2015.
