Calvin Klein Down Town Perfume Collection

From the moment Calvin Klein Fragrances set the popular style-wave of CK One nearly two decades ago they have lead the industry in adapting straight into the ambitions and dreams of generations in the most widest acceptable styles. In those days it had been under the slogan of multi genus, unisex persona expressed by gangling youth. Then a decade later it related to the frenetic energy and the extremely responsive connection to the inescapable digital age with CKIN2U. The dawn of new times has arrived and this year we have DownTown perfume designed to spark the dreams of young individuals as their worldwide icon will be American film and television actress Rooney Mara outfitted in gender-bridging motor-rider outfit designed to show the new reality of the Calvin Klein concept of adolescence.

This young lady is totally free, or maybe has the need to feel free, however possesses this easily relating desire to ultimately exist in a down town location of a metropolis. With an un-doubtable touch of calmness, following the opposite flow of urban dwellers returning to the country farms and quite villages, this concept hasn’t before been developed into a perfume.

With her role part as Lisbeth Salander in –The Girl with the Dragon Tatto- and even her role as Erica Albright in The Social Network just to name a few movies Mara has come to be very well-known. Commenting on her new role Mara said -I am very excited to be included in the group of amazing women that have been featured in the iconic advertising campaigns for Calvin Klein fragrances. It's an honor to be part of a brand with such a legacy of breakthrough advertising.- The campaign includes TV spots directed by David Fincher and print ads shot by Jean-Baptiste Mondino.

The name of the perfume, which rings particularly familiar in the context of the transatlantic popularity of British TV series Downtown Abbey, is about a global Downtown whose skyline looks a lot like Downtown Manhattan: noted Catherine Walsh of Coty.

Downtown targets the individuals in the wonderful ages of 25 to 35, this population of individuals has a lifestyle of its own, and lives by its own principles, the house has developed an extremely aspirational aroma. Internationally, customers see downtown as a spot they want to be right in the town center. They connect with this concept through youthfulness, edginess and coolness according to the brand.

The lady who sports DownTown is believed to survive in her personal environment, refusing to adapt to the norm and doesn't follow the most likely outcome.

To communicate these emotions, a floral and woody scent was created by perfumers at Givaudan under the guidance of expert perfumer Ann Gottlieb. The eau de parfum unwraps with opening notes of bergamot, Tunisian neroli, Italian cedrat, green pear and watery plum revealing a heart of pink peppercorn, violet leaf and gardenia petals that slowly fade to the background paving the way to a dry down of incense, vetiver, Texan cedarwood and velvet musks.

The fragrance is housed in a comfortably shaped cylindrical bottle made of clear glass holding the soft purple pink juice, while the vial is covered with a metallic finished silver stopper with its top opened making the spray nozzle visible from the top. This unconventional design reveals a deep neon-purple electric background just like the energy of the city at its heart, DownTown.

The fragrance first launches this July 2013 at select locations and later will hit stores internationally from September 2013. Calvin Klein’s DownTown Fragrance collection range will include 30ml, 50ml and 90ml versions of Eaux De Parfum Formulation along with a series of matching body care products featuring a 10ml roller ball, 150ml body mist, plus a body lotion and body wash of 200ml respectively.
