Chanel Les Exclusifs de Chanel Misia Perfume

Chanel is releasing Misia a new perfume to the Les Exclusifs de Chanel series. Misia comes out in respect of Coco Chanel's friend and muse Misia Sert. Her salon in Paris at the time intrigued such legends as Marcel Proust, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and many others whereas she was even the inspiration of renowned artists as she was painted by Renoir, Toulouse, Vuillard and Bonnard. Her friendship with Chanel evolved as she assisted Coco mourn the loss of her lover Arthur Capel in 1918, and the two women kept a lasting friendship.

The fragrance is a combination of woody-gourmand and powder-like floral substances. Orris root, Turkish rose, rose from Grasse, violet, tonka bean, benzoin and sandalwood shape the wonderful scent. The new perfume was created by Olivier Polge, his primary for the house of Chanel as he takes the in-house perfumer identity next to his father Jacques Polge who has been with the house since 1978.

As mentioned by Olivier Polge his intent for this aroma wasn't only to take a look of Misia herself, but her role as the evolving stage in the time of Gabrielle Chanel. Misia introduced Gabrielle to a wide range of new encounters. With this scent, he wanted to display the environment of the Ballets Russes of which Misia was a patron and the aroma of makeup from that time-frame.

Les Exclusifs de Chanel Misia will be offered from 2015 in 75ml and 200ml editions of Eau de Toilette at Chanel stores and approved suppliers globally.
