The fresh and floral Cherry Blossom flower will return each spring with an excellent, confined, and numbered version as a tribute to the Hanami ritual in Japan. Guerlain has commissioned Les Ateliers Vermont, a renowned Parisian embroidery house, to design the Bee Bottle's magical embellishment for its magnificent 2023 Millésime, which combines the virtuosity of Paris' Haute Couture practices with the poetry of its Japanese inspiration.

Thriving Expectations Cherry Blossom

The growing of snowy-petaled, pink-tinged sakuras on cherry tree branches is closely followed by the entire Land of the Rising Sun. Friends and families gather to admire sakuras as part of this poetic ceremony known in Japanese as Hanami, which is literally "flower viewing." The vaporous blooms fall without wilting beneath the cherry trees, "flower rafts" float on streams, and petals flutter like delicate butterflies in the breeze.

The Guerlain Perfumers used all of their artistic talent to catch the brilliant, fleeting beauty of cherry trees in the spring. Initially, the perfume is illuminated by the bergamot, an olfactory symbol of the House. A pearl-white jasmine accent and a breeze of white musks help to better welcome the facets of almond, cherry, and powdery lilac in this luminous opening thanks to the freshness of the green tea accord.

Guerlain has enlisted the assistance of masters of art embroidery to add the most artistic of embellishments to this scent of spring. Les Ateliers Vermont has continued this age-old tradition by producing intricate embroidery in the center of Paris for the most prominent Haute Couture houses since 1956. The creative partnership with Guerlain provided Jean-Eudes Néton, the creative director, with the chance to enhance the multi-sensoriality of embroidery by fusing touch, smell, and sight.

Cherry Blossom Promising Opportunities

The thin, graceful branch of the tree blooming with sakuras served as the inspiration for this métier d'art version. A thin golden thread that traces the cherry tree branch's stylish lines is used to embroider it. The agile fingers of the embroiderer next piece together one by one the fantastic pearls and tubes that make up the branch's body. This delicate, scintillating branch is supported by a lavish, powder-pink grosgrain bow that complements the scent's delicate color. The infinitely exquisite decoration complements the literature of its Japanese inspiration with the virtuosity of Parisian Haute Couture techniques.

There are only 3,000 copies of this numbered version. A 20ml travel spray in its white leather sheath and a funnel to disperse the fragrance are provided with each 125ml bottle.
