Guerlain Habit Rouge L'Edition Du Cavalier

Guerlain Habit Rouge L'Edition Du Cavalier
In 1988 Robert Granai created the stylish Eau de Toilette fragrance glass container for Vetiver and Habit Rouge, with the spirit of travelling. The design of the bottle was intended to fit comfortably into a gentleman's briefcase. Habit Rouge was Guerlain's most famous men's fragrance, and had experienced a number of limited edition releases. The special 100ml travel editions had a shielded refillable external case with the earliest one introduced in 1988, a black leather flip-top case edition known as Edition Préstige. The idea was repeated in 2011 with a vibrant red slide-in leather case titled Habit de Cuir. And the year right after we have a quilted wool-like textile case named L'Esprit du Cavalier. For 2013, the Habit Rouge travel edition is outfitted in a dark red suede case in designed as a saddle pouch, this time titled Habit Rouge L'Edition Du Cavalier.

As mentioned above this year, Guerlain outfits the Habit Rouge bottle in a unique new riding habit. As usual the outfit respects the character of the renowned horseman and conveys a flawlessly tailored story down to the finest detail... protected in a fabricated coat and one of the most traditional practices of the equestrian universe match the customs of Habit Rouge style.

Just for this limited edition release, the detachable and reusable cover presents and crowns the classiness of the sophisticated and flawlessly booted horseman, with a timeless path. This notable collector's item would make the ideal Fathers' Day gift, for all those – travelers and non-travelers alike - who enjoy this fragrance which has distinguished them from the usual path for generations.

Habit Rouge L'Edition Du Cavalier with its attractive garment draws its inspiration from the age-old tradition of saddlery. Its saddle-stitched style, recognizable everywhere, is defined like the hoofprints of a well-shod horse. Gentle to the touch like a tanned saddle, it plays on the contrast of raw leather and velvety suede, in tones of crimson a rich deep red color inclining to purple. An appliquéd riding boot resurfaces the fragrance’s roots and brings to mind its heritage. As a final effect, the familiar logo is imprinted on the jacket. The case has been decorated to suit it also and features all of these exclusive aspects.

As the best example of French classiness that hardly ever goes out of fashion, Habit Rouge has galloped on unfailingly under the identity of its Guerlinade accord ever since its formulation in 1965. The first oriental fragrance for men was made with daring passion, bold and independent. In the opening its bitterness comes across as freshness, taking part in a stylish accord of lime and bitter orange. The heart is genuine, warmed by patchouli and is spicy and pure. The dry down, a leathery scent softens under the gentle caress of benzoin while vanilla adds a edgy touch to the final trail.

This year's the house of Guerlain's new limited travel edition Habit Rouge L'Edition Du Cavalier is available in 100ml versions of Eau De Toilette concentration.
