Guerlain Xi'an

The presentation of Guerlain's "Xi'an′" Perfume. The fragrance was especially dedicated to the city of Xi'an and is therefore only available in the gift shop of the city museum there.

Noble and bright, this creation by the Perfumer de la Maison Guerlain radiates like a tribute to China and sublime the most iconic species in the region. Thierry Wasser took inspiration from the heart of Xi'an, cradle of civilization and land of empire.

Thierry Wasser signs a contrasting woody floral perfume, like this dazzling city where the poetry of the gardens connects with the power of the walls. Soft and green, a bamboo pairing gorged with watery notes blossoms under the burst of the freshness of white flowers. Guerlain Xi'an with its green floral harmony reveals a sandalwood with imperial character.

Guerlain Shalimar Millesime Vanilla Planifolia

Shalimar Millesime Vanilla Planifolia, the cornerstone of Shalimar’s revolutionary sillage, vanilla has now inspired an extraordinary Millesime edition. Guerlain’s loving tribute to one of the most iconic and luxurious essences in its palette. Overdosed in the composition, Guerlain’s signature vanilla tincture reveals all its facets and enhances the sillage of the iconic oriental scent.

Oriental, sensual, delicious, overdosed. A tribute to vanilla. An essential raw ingredient in the famous Guerlinade and the key note in Shalimar’s legendary fragrance trail, vanilla is a Guerlain favorite.

In this limited edition, Madagascan Vanilla Planifolia is beautifully enhanced by the perfumers in unprecedented ways: The vanilla tincture exudes a woody, slightly leathery and spicy note. This ancestral know-how unique to Guerlain makes it possible to extract vanilla’s fragrance molecules by macerating it in alcohol from organic farming.

Guerlain Muguet 2021

This year Guerlain teamed up with paper and textile designer Lucie Touré for its annual limited-edition Muguet fragrance. Guerlain selected the Parisian designer to decorate this year’s Muguet fragrance bottle in celebration of May Day and France’s lily-of-the-valley tradition.

As specialist in working paper with textile and jewellery finishing techniques, such as cutting, weaving and embroidering, Toure designed a delicate floral adornment for the Muguet aroma, which is housed in Pochet du Courval’s iconic bee bottle.

The bottle is covered in a decoration made of lily-of-the-valley flowers cut from fine white paper or gilded with aluminum foil, with a pearl-like bead at their center. Its leaves made from organza are hand dyed in a soft green that recalls the fragrance’s hue. Once dried, the organza is cut using a process taken from luxury leather goods and assembled with the flowers by hand embroidery.

Metamorphosis of the Bee Bottle: Begum Khan chose to create a jewel comprising elements that resonate with the West and the world of Guerlain. In the fantastical design, an imperial bee, the Guerlain symbol, escapes from its fanciful and luxurious universe to land for a fleeting moment on the bottle, fringed by four majestic flowers. Each piece is handmade by Turkish craftsmen in a historic workshop near the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, through a labor of love that imbues every bottle with its own personality and soul.

An exceptional savoir-faire: Crafted in Istanbul workshop, the bronze-set decorative adornment is plated with 24-karat gold and paved with approximately 6,500 colored gems. One by one, each stone is added by hand. Once placed on the bottle, the precious motif blots out the cartouche. This inimitable, meticulous feat of metalwork takes over fifty hours to complete.

Le Songe de la Reine: The exclusives fragrance that comes with the creation, Le Songe de la Reine, brings us before the gateway into the East. This Eau de Parfum opens on a fresh and vibrant mix of mandarin and bergamot, revealing the freshness and the delight of fig notes in its heart, set upon a woody base of sandalwood and cedar notes. “This is a fragrance full of contrasts, wherein the woody notes, in their strength and sensuality, are confronted with the vegetal vitality of fig sap.” says Thierry Wasser, Guerlain House Perfumer.

Kadine is revived celebrating the 110th anniversary of the original fragrance with 691 pieces made to mark the occasion.

Thierry Wasser, Guerlain's Master Perfumer, has recomposed Kadine, staying scrupulously close to Jacques Guerlain's original composition. As the torch is handed down from one House perfumer to another, a never-ending story emerges; an eternal beginning wherein the fragrances of yesterday (re)live today.

The very apex of refinement, Kadine is expressed as an Extrait de Parfum. Its composition is revealed through a contrast between the delicate character of the floral notes and the intensity of a rich, textured base. Its powdery-floral heart marries two queens of perfumery, rose and jasmine, with delicately smooth iris. Signature of the Guerlain Perfumers, bergamot, coupled with aromatic notes, provides the fragrance with its multiple facets.
