The house of Guerlain is releasing Shalimar Souffle de Parfum, a new addition to its wonderful Shalimar Perfume selection. The newest floriental fragrance for women runs along the path of the classic Shalimar and its legacy that has set a milestone for the house.
Throughout the years, the olfactory identity of Shalimar has encountered a number of modification with most outstanding, Shalimar Eau Leger and Eau de Shalimar while the very new Shalimar Parfum Initial and Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau are all designed for the new age of Shalimar enthusiasts. Limited-edition versions have also been introduced with latest those of Shalimar Ode A La Vanille 2013, Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau Si Sensuelle and Shalimar Indes & Merveilles.
Displaying the idea of air flowing over aqua, the soft floriental eau de parfum is the design of in-house perfumer Thierry Wasser.
Many years ago faraway in the lands of India, there had been a love that exceeded any dream. The emperor Shah Jahan commanded the formation of the most spectacular gardens of Shalimar as an environment for their love with his dearest wife, the princess Mumtaz Mahal. Shortly after, he built the Taj Mahal, a marvel recognized by the entire world. This amazing story inspired Jacques Guerlain to create an incredibly charming scent, the world's very first oriental aroma, that of Shalimar.
At this time, Thierry Wasser has introduced the shine of new perfume substances to this renowned fragrance, taking it to thresholds of sensuality in an exciting, lustrous formulation to be used like a cherished jewel. Shalimar Souffle de Parfum, a gently fragrant touch.
The enveloping exciting and soothing scent begins with hesperidic tones of bergamot, mandarin and lemon while uncovering a floral heart of jasmine sambac, mixed together with an astonishing orange blossom water absolute note. The heart of the aroma centers around two varieties of vanilla rounded out with a contrasting blend of affluent white musks.
