John Varvatos Artisan Acqua Fragrance

In the world of perfumes, Artisan travels beyond the label on a bottle regarding John Varvatos. For him it's a story related to the way he experiences both his fragrance collection and his clothing company and what he worries may be fading out the luxury arena is the classic process of handmade items that express wonderful little gems and secret aspects of any creation.

From the beginning, he's constantly attempted to return to producing scents just how they used to be developed all by hand, with the finest elements on earth, non-industrial perfumes in reduced amounts.

John Varvatos Artisan Acqua is the 5th Varvatos fragrance and the 3rd in his Artisan series. The designer's initial signature aroma made its appearance in 2004, succeeded by Vintage in 2006, Artisan in 2009 and Artisan Black in 2010. As he has performed with the entire range of his earlier scents, the designer worked together with Rodrigo Flores-Roux, perfumer at Givaudan. Varvatos stated that this very uncommon process of staying with one perfumer grants his fragrances a natural perspective. Rodrigo is very personal with his business whenever they discuss a new aroma they begin with thinking, what is the desired communication? Where will you be fantasizing of being with this fragrance? A relationship that is similar to a psychologists view according to Varvatos.

Varvatos visions Artisan Acqua as a lighter, summer beach style scent that offers that breeze taken sensation of strolling along the coastline. You need to have a little something inside your products genetic material that is special and convincing to get people to purchase your fragrance these days he stated in a following statement.

The fragrance influenced by the Mediterranean opens with notes of tangelo, mandarin, paradisamide, galbanum, lentisque mastic and angelica root. The heart gradually flows in with a blend of clary sage, lavender, coriander, toscanol, basil, geranium, palmarosa (a fragrant tropical Indian grass related to citronella and lemon grass) and Sambac jasmine while the scent slowly settles down with notes of moss, patchouli and fir balsam. Resembling a flask the glass perfume container has a hand crafted string dressing. Each one is a little different revealing a tale of an artisanal culture and workmanship, and that’s very rare these days.

The new fragrance for men by John Varvatos Artisan Acqua will roll out in Eau De Toilette versions of 2.5oz/50ml and 4.2oz/125ml. The fragrance will first be marketed in the US at specialized outlets starting in January 2014, succeeded by launches in Europe, Asia and travel retail stores thereafter.
