L'Artisan Parfumeur Impressionist Colognes

A completely new selection of colognes from L'Artisan Parfumeur with a pair of designs the Au Bord de L'eau and Sur L'Herbe developed by Fabrice Pellegrin created in respect to Impressionist artists. The new fragrances are available from March 2017 in 100ml versions of eau de cologne.

This painting expression emerged at the end of the 19th century contrasting the classics and academic works of art. Unbinding themselves from tradition, impressionist painters used their natural intuition and feelings drawing creativity from their daily life and enhanced with light and colorful details. In this instant of light Fabrice Pellegrin gives honor to the amazing waterfront paintings from Claude Monet and The Luncheon on the Grass Edouard Manet finest creation.

Sur L'herbe, The Luncheon on the Grass from the Manet painting that was initially shown in Paris in 1863 for the first time really surprised public since it showed a naked woman having lunch with men in suits in a forest. The picture will be defined as obscene. With Sur L'herbe, Fabrice Pellegrin desired to "reinvent neroli by injecting light" through the association of white musk and amber notes.
