Zoologist Dodo Yves Cassar 2020 Edition

Dodo in a new edition in the final month of 2020. A totally new creation by Yves Cassar, Dodo is structured on the classic fougère formulation (bergamot, lavender, tonka, oakmoss) but a little up-dated and refreshed with an element of addictive pineapple and black currant. When you try it you may not recognize it as a fougere due to the fact modern fougère has advanced so much! Encounter a 19th century classic fougère in the 21st century!

Smug Yourself with Dodo

The sun shimmered across rippling dunes, its morning play upon the Indian Ocean awakening the dodos from their untroubled snooze. Stuttering drunkenly across the forest floor they devoured on overripe fruit where it lay, fallen for them by the rich island paradise that provided for them.

For generations, the predator-free and abundant coast line eased them into such a state of laxity that their wings grew idle, and flight was gone - even to remembrance. Eventually evolution would fail them, but while it lasted, the dodos experienced a living marked by ease and comfort.⠀

In Zoologist Dodo, aromatic herbs and ferns are pierced with an energizing dash of bergamot, delicious pineapple and blackcurrant, when the fruity aroma lumbers into a more conventional fougère. Spices cavort between notes of lavender, tonka and oakmoss, and calm into with attractive woody traces of oak.

Dodo is a mystery. Like those vanished inhabitants of Mauritius, the aroma is together vintage but exciting, unknowable but unbearably memorable. The perfect fragrance for those with an extraordinary subtlety who desire a life of leisure and peaceful happiness.
