My girlfriend in college wore this and I just loved it! I used to wear the men's version and we smelled great as a couple. I find it hard to believe they'd discontinue such an amazing scent. From a man's point of view, this is really a beautiful, enticing fragrance that I would definitely buy for my girl.

I am absolutely devastated that this fragrance has been discontinued. I am heartbroken and unable to find a fragrance that comes close to satisfying me. I would get compliments from men on how delightful my scent was. Strangers would compliment my scent. I am so very disappointed.

Pleaseeeee, someone save this scent, change the bottle, but thats it!!! I have been wearing this scent since 1990. I was 30 years young then. I'm now 54 years old & my 2 children purchased a bottle for me from Ebay for 300.oo dollars for my 54th Birthday, which is soooooo ridiculous that I cried for hours. Estee Lauder does not understand that "A Scent Of a Woman" is WHO SHE Is.... I am New West !!!!! Please rethink your decision Aramis, please. It's who I am....Devastated !!!!

This is truly the most wonderful fresh beautiful scent ever made! Everyone I know LOVES this scent, especially men. When I hug them they ALL say, you smell delicious!!
I am devastated that it is truly gone now. I have tried at least 20 others scents that sound like they are comparable, but none have lived up to my expectations. If anyone knows of a comparable scent please post. Please Aramis, consider making it again, even on a prepaid special order basis! I have countless testimonials of broken hearted people that just want their signature fragrance back.

I think of this as an undeservedly overlooked fragrance. I'm not a fan of most aquatic scents, as they send me over the edge into an unlovely ozone dream - the fact they are trying to recreate something so ephemeral, so fluid, makes their jarring sprayish notes that much worse. Many are outright sickeners.
Saying that makes my approval of New West surprising. Somehow, this one works on me. It's a lovely but difficult niche to fill so I appreciate it's ability to do so.
This has also been a signature scent of my daughter's for years, and is who introduced me to it. She is a lawyer, skier, and craft beer connoisseur, and she wears it to all these venues, a heavy burden for one fragrance. So, if you are looking for a go-to aquatic/marine, definitely give this older fragrance a try. It has the chops to fill several needs.

I tried very hard to hate this fragrance, but I just couldn't. Used in teeny weeny doses, there's something very fresh about this scent that makes you like it. Call this a perfume with a 'good personality.' (I always wonder why people pour scent all over themselves, and then wonder WHY it makes them sick.) New West has lots of things I love...rose, carnation, cedar, moss, marine, amber...definitely a day at the beach or a summer resort scent. It screams for balmy ocean breezes and barefoot walks in the sand...lazy afternoons in a cabana chair, sipping on your favorite frozen fruity drink.
