Note di Colonia III Unisex fragrance by Acqua Di Parma

The niche Italian perfume brand Acqua di Parma is unveiling Note di Colonia collection of aromas in September 2016. The triplet of these opera-inspired fragrances celebrates the 100th anniversary of the brand's Colonia aroma.

Acqua di Parma has reached its first centenary 1916 - 2016. Its beginnings are inseparably connected to the city of Parma, where Colonia, the fragrance which designated its first appearance, was brought to life and where the brand has been maintaining the principles of artwork, music and classiness from its start off. To rejoice the Centenary and in honor to its city and its history, Acqua di Parma is creating Note di Colonia. A new series which draws creativity from the world of opera with three distinct perfumes, each package enclosed in a reinterpretation of Colonia's original bottle.

Note di Colonia III is a spectacular musical symphony. The fragrance takes its creativity from the “Marcia Trionfale” in Aida where Giuseppe Verdi puts his theatrical skills to the test. In this opera, beyond all other, the maestro makes a masterful and ingenious use of the orchestra. It is the wind instruments which set up that victorious environment to pass on triumph and heroism. Note di Colonia III, with its fascinating and winning notes, praises one of the most celebrated times of Italian opera. Opening notes comprise of the superb and lively accords of mandarin and ginger mastering instantly with its dynamism. The notes are enhanced in the heart with splashes of vetiver which discover a deep emphasizing contrast to its dry and woody highlights in the warm and resinous note of olibanum brightened by jasmine. This potent and melodious orchestration advances majestically. In its closing portion, the perfume communicates a perception of eternity, with the sophisticated notes of Tonka bean connecting the intense and full-bodied ones of cistus labdanum and myrrh.
