Cartier Designer History: The house of Cartier was established in 1847 by Louis-Francois Cartier. Famous for its exquisite jewelry and its focus on fine detail, the businesses recognition matured through the late 1800's, with the support of Cartier's son Alfred and grandsons Louis, Pierre and Jacques. Cartier acquired prestige and fame in 1904 when Louis Cartier designed the first wristwatch for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. This legendary timepiece was referred to as the "Santos”. From then on the reputation of Cartier skyrocketed with crowned heads, nobles and wealthy people from all over the planet traveling to Cartier for their jewelry and watches.

Cartier Fragrance History: In 1964 family control of the business was over, however the business carried on to grow its presence and popularity with stores around the globe. The brand's product range extended to comprise of leather goods, pens and scarves in the 1970s, and its first fragrance collection with Must de Cartier for women and Santos de Cartier for men both launched in 1981. Cartier has released a collection of excellent fragrances over the years, quite a few having identical names as the company's jewelry collections and timepieces like the remarkable Panthere series in jewelry, watches and fragrances of the house.
