Coty Designer History:
Celine Dion, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Lopez are significant people in the entertainment business, and if there is one element that these great stars have in common, it is the simple matter that these people all trust Coty in regards to smelling wonderful. For a great number of years Coty has long been in the fragrance field; actually, they have practiced perfumery with more than a century's worth of experience. Through the years, Coty has undoubtedly encountered a lot of important transformations in both control and ownership. Born Joseph Marie Francois Spoturno, Francois in fact decided to carry the title of Coty for his personal last name given that it seemed and appeared more French to him. The name Coty was really an alteration of his mother's first name.

Coty Fragrance History:
Coty began his love and enthusiasm by marketing simple scents which he produced from blossoms found in the area of Grasse. After these aromas were taken, Coty would then take them with his bicycle to barbers all over Paris. Still, it had been his promotional techniques that really made the difference for Coty's achievement in the international market. He was also quick to totally understand that the perfume glass vial bottle in which his scent was sold in affected the marketability of his merchandise. It was for this reason, that he had his perfume bottles created by Rene Lalique, one of the most significant ceramists at the time.

Francois Coty created his first ever fragrance in the year of 1904, which was La Rose Jacqueminot. The launch of L'Origan followed in 1905, however it was Chypre in 1917 that is praised as one of the biggest achievements in Coty's career.

Additional creations in his product collection feature Wild Musk, Imprevu, Styx, Sweet Earth, and Stetson. Even today, Coty's creations continue to be a solid preferred between many gentlemen and ladies all over the planet, along with the superstars that brighten our silver screens.

In August 2009, Coty Inc. publicized that it had moved into a license deal with international lifestyle brand GUESS, Inc., to create and promote new GUESS fragrance collections. Another aspect of the collaboration was that Coty would at the same time circulate pre-existing of the agreement GUESS fragrances, effective from January 2010.
