Nina Ricci Designer History:
Nina Ricci was born in 1883 Turin, Italy and begun as an learning dressmaker from the early age of 14, in Paris. When 18, she was already creating and marketing her designs to different fashion houses. At the age of 49 in 1932 she started her own company.

Nina established a collaboration with her sole son Robert and started out her private Haute Couture House at 20, Rue des Capucines, in Paris. Her decision met instant success, and prior to the war the NINA RICCI business filled 11 floors and in its work spaces one could count over 400 workers.

Madame Ricc dress designing skills, possessed an amazing talent for featuring the individuality of her customers. Identified as a Queen of style she continued preferring femininity even at a period when boyish looks were very popular.

At the time of her retirement in 1950, her son Robert took over the company. With his new position he extended the company's range including scents and licensing the brand-name Nina Ricci to different producers.

In 1970 creator of the Nina Ricci Brand passed away at the age of 87. Her son Robert died eighteen years later in 1988. The Puig Beauty & Fashion Group of Barcelona, Spain acquired the Nina Ricci Company in 1998.

Nina Ricci Fragrance History:
Ricci tested her skills in perfume creating her first –Nina- scent, and then bringing out -Premier Jour- and -L'air Du Temps-, along with the famous "Les Belles" series of aromas.

Nina Ricci women's fragrance collection features Farouche 1973, Deci Dela 1994- "the fragrance of five senses," and Nina Ricci's l'Air du Temps, a postwar formulation dating from 1948, that continues to be one of the world's top-selling perfumes. Premier Jour 2001 and Love In Paris 2004 perfumes are also licensed under the Nina Ricci name. In 1989, the company presented Ricci Club men's cologne with additional men's fragrances involving Memoir De Homme, released in 2002, and Signoricci cologne from 1965. Nina Ricci perfumes and colognes are known for their distinct one of a kind perfume bottles, such as "Nina by Nina Ricci" perfume, which is captured in a stylish crystal apple not to mention the legendary dove cap bottle of L’Air du Temps and the most recent Mademoiselle Ricci all unique in the shape.
