Paloma Picasso Designer History:
Anne Paloma Ruiz-Picasso is a fashion designer, style icon and businesswoman born on April 19th 1949 Vallaurius France. Daughter of one of the most famous artists of our times Pablo Picasso and writer Francoise Gilot, she was reluctant at first to get into the universe of styling and design. Never wanting to be compared with her father, neither did she enjoy the inevitable prestige his name would present in her career. Nevertheless, as soon as she started to display the jewelry she designed for Zolotas Jeweler of Greece in 1971, experts were truly amazed. The success of the creations Picasso developed for Tiffany & Company inspired Picasso to style and market pieces varying from fashion accessories to china. These products, among them eyewear, fragrances, cosmetics, and leather goods, are recognized by their striking shapes and remarkable colors. Her face is just as effortlessly recognized. Appearing in shiny magazine commercials with her perfume, the artistic fashion designer has been referred to as "her own best model."

When still young, she was the theme of countless creations her father mastered, such as Paloma with an Orange and Paloma in Blue. In time she gradually evolved to the arena of fashion design and launched her private company and brand, including her eponymous perfume and a collection of evening wear. She also designs jewelry for Tiffany & Co. Paloma and her husband Dr. Eric Thevenet presently resides in the Lake Geneva area of Switzerland.

Paloma Picasso Fragrance History:
Her first fragrance for women, Mon Parfum, was released in Europe in 1984. Neither simple nor harmless, the Mon Parfum scent is, as Paloma describes, -a perfume for women, not girls-. Additional women's perfumes feature, Tentations, a spacious Oriental concentration displayed in shades of red and black, identical to her original signature fragrance. The perfume container also features an appealing filigree pattern. Launched in 1992, her Minotaure for Men cologne is a distinct oriental woody fragrance. The cologne includes a combination of fresh and sparkling oriental notes, and dries down to sandalwood and patchouli. Tentations perfume for women and Constellation are her most recent releases.
