Paul Sebastian Designer History:
Design house Paul Sebastian Inc. came to life in 1979 from a plan thought up by two New Jersey locals called Leonard Paul Cuozzo and Alan Sebastian Greco. At the time Cuozzo resided near Union Beach close to the International Flavors and Fragrances plant where he had been intrigued and fascinated with the idea of creating perfumes. He matched his growing expertise as a perfumist with the business and marketing knowledge of his friend, Greco, who was positioned as a director of nationwide sales for Textron during that period. The partners en-captured their first cologne - a potion Cuozzo had been improving for over a decade together with New York perfumer Fritzsche Dodge - and marketed it to three New Jersey men’s apparel shops. The cologne was so profitable that after only two years the small business had established business with more than 300 shops and was earning over $200-thousand a year. Even with its phenomenal success in the years to follow, Paul Sebastian was regarded as unusual for the point that it did practically hardly any nationwide promotion. Rather, it targeted its assets on the company’s connection with their sellers, which continued with big niche retailers. Nevertheless, the company is additionally well-known for its revolution offering for those times with the "gift with purchase" idea. Starting out with small teddy bears in 1983 and growing into excellent porcelain creations to go with their fragrances has quickly become the company signature. The company gradually evolved and made global presence by 1989.

At present, the initial Paul Sebastian Inc. does no longer exist. Its major properties and privileges were sold to FFI Fragrances In 1999, along with Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne, Design, Casual, Cigar Aficionado -developed for the periodical of the equivalent title- as well as its Nautica and Mark Cross collections. Nevertheless, Paul Sebastian remains prosperous as a widely popular brand name.
