Jo Malone introduces the limited edition Blossom collection for 2022. The theme takes inspiration from a Sardinian Summer. With a triplet of fragrances two new summer fragrances, Sea Daffodil and Bitter Mandarin and a reissue of Silk Blossom for the season.

Blossom season is upon us and with it brings a sense of optimism, hope and unadulterated joy. Carefree days by the Mediterranean Sea, where white-sun mornings give way to golden afternoons and balmy evenings, as the sun sinks slowly over the horizon above the placid wash of the waves. The result? Two new colognes representing summer, Sea Daffodil and Bitter Mandarin along with a re-edition of Silk Blossom in the limited edition bottle.

Taking inspiration from sea-washed pebbles, every cap is unique and will vary for each individual purchase.

A Mediterranean summer evening with a carefree buzz in the air. Citrus trees line Italian streets and ice-filled glasses clink with a bitter citrus spritz. Vibrant mandarin is deepened with the warmth of amber and a pinch of precious orris for an addictive zesty allure.

"To create the perfect pairing for Sea Daffodil, we sought to capture something of the spirit of the Mediterranean in fragrance: the essence of carefree days, enchanted evenings and sultry summer nights. ‘I remembered how people drink orange spritz aperitifs in the summer, combining bitter citrus flavors with fizz. I realized that we could use a mandarin accord created by perfumer Michel Almairac as the basis of a fragrance that could capture the summer freshness of mandarin with the bitterness of the spritz,’ explains Celine Roux. ‘Throughout the development of Bitter Mandarin, we always had the sparkling quality of the aperitif in mind, which we recreated using bergamot, yellow mandarin and petit grain – an oil extracted from the leaves of the orange tree,’ retells Michel Almairac, the nose behind the colorful, happy scent that captures the carefree spirit of summer."

The mandarin opening note is bright and tart, it brings a vibrant freshness to the top notes. Its heart note of orange is bitter fresh and suffuses the fragrance with a zesty bite. The amber base note wraps the fragrance with woody warmth, imbuing the fragrance with sensuality
