Shalimar was influenced by the love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Princess Mumtaz Mahal and in 1925 Jacques Guerlain was the creator of the first oriental perfume.

This is possibly the tenth version of the oriental Shalimar fragrance at this point in a dazzling floral impression through the essence of orange blossom and neroli utilizing the absolute of orange blossom and the essence of petit grain acquired by the leaves and leafy twigs of the orange tree.
