Hermessence Epice Marine Fragrance

Hermessence Epice Marine Fragrance
A meeting of flavors and essences, the newest Hermessence, Epice Marine, the theme as caught in the label, is spices and the sea along with the innovative story of a pair of diverse pioneers Jean-Claude Ellena the perfumer and Olivier Roellinger the corsair chef.

Epice Marine follows the 10th Hermessence aroma Santal Massoia introduced by the house of Hermes in 2011. The Hermessence fragrance collection has established the concept of utilizing natural, powerful raw fragrant elements as a reflecting echo of a more intense quest of nature’s aromatic aspects.

Then again, Epice Marine elevates Hermessence to a new phase, additionally including elements from other fields. For this unique aroma, Ellena searched for ideas from her interaction with famous chef Olivier Roellinger. Their correlation was established in a common passion for spices, which transformed into a story that influenced Ellena's selections and aromatic elements from a completely new spice palette.

At its heart, Epice Marine is the legend of mariners, pirates and sailors, in quest of catching the essence of the sea. Ellena explains, her dream of letting one explore the aromas of spices, rum, waxed wooden floors and smoked woods. A kind of breaking free sensation, influenced by the energizing and exciting scent of the Brittany coast, blended for even more interest with the aroma of sea-shore fog and Bruichladdich whiskey.

The scent includes notes of cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, bergamot, a synthetic molecule with an odor of algea and oceanic water differing from the sea, a smoky fog accord influenced by Bruichladdich whiskey and oakmoss.

Hermessence Epice Marine by Hermes Fragrance is expected to be available from September 2013 in the characteristic shaped perfume bottle of the Hermessence fragrance collection in marine blue color theme.
