Date Added: 12/01/2015Azzaro Elixir is a contemporary, fresh oriental that has a lot of similarities with the classic Azzaro Pour Homme. The opening with cherry watery elements with a tangy spicy couture and the signature ingredients of the original hovering in the background bring a cheerful pleasant sensation. Date Added: 31/10/2012Azzaro pour Homme Elixir is an alternative for those who like masculine rose notes. Well, for me, anyway because those rose notes, tones and hues are invariably too sweet for me and too dense but there is nothing dense about this fragrance. This is a delightful melange of gourmand and restrained oriental elements that presents as a rather sweet but never cloying lavender and geranium accord before metamorphosing into something akin to a confectionery musk. This stage lasts for around 20 minutes on my skin before the journey rounds out in entirely satisfying sweet gourmand notes that are defined by the tonka bean and restrained accordingly. The vanilla seems implied as if hinted at. This is the most satisfying use of vanilla I have experienced; generally, I find vanilla overwhelmingly, nauseatingly sweet. Azzaro conains it, defines it and bends it to its urbane and chic will. The effect over all is wonderful. It is reminiscent of M7 by YSL but it is more mannered, less strident and never even vaguely like a cough syrup. Rather, it is a demure and confident fragrance. It is nothing like Azzaro pour homme except that both fragrances are timeless and deserving of acclaim. It reminds me of Jacomo de Jacomo Rouge.by Anonymous

Date Added: 31/10/2012Azzaro pour Homme Elixir does not smell like the classic Azzaro pour Homme but is just as substantial. It introduces itself with a lavender blast tempered by well blended citrus and berry notes. Azzaro pour Homme Elixir is mainly about berries and pear, as the colour of the bottle hint visually. The berries are so natural smelling, not the excessively sugary sweet type in Paco Rabanne's Black XS. There is a suede accord in the heart to base which recalls SL's Daim Blond, but in a richer(??!!) more masculine way.by FragManiac
Azzaro pour Homme Elixir should not be approached expecting a reinterpretation of Azzaro pour Homme (which will only result in negative reviews of an otherwise very good frag). Rather, it seems to be a reinterpretation of the concept of Azzaro pour Homme. Most likely, those who were interested in Azzaro pour Homme but got turned off for some reason will like this modern take. An Azzaro for those who think they are too young for the original, or that the original is too mature for them.
Elixir is not a powerhouse but is not a shy scent. It projects pretty well and is quite long-lasting.
Elixir is another very good Azzaro. -
