Le Bolshoi Saison 2012 La Traviata perfume for Women by Guerlain

A second edition to Guerlain's Le Bolshoi collection is about to make its appearance for the premiere of the 237th season of the Bolshoi: the opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi. The new fragrance Le Bolshoi Saison 2012 La Traviata is the successor of last year's Le Bolshoi 2011. As with last year's edition these limited editions are created to honor the cooperation of the two prestigious houses, while Guerlain has helped in the restoration of the Bolshoi Theater.

Last years limited edition Le Bolshoi 2011 had unprecedented success with all 400 flacons sold in Moscow in just two months. They were released on October 27th 2011. Its success was imminent. The composition was created by the hands of Jean Paul Guerlain, a living legend and great Master Perfumer of the house who continues to develop and create exclusive, unique and luxurious editions for the house.

This year's limited edition is a floral woody musk composition. A bold classic you don’t often come across these days. The opening is a classic citrus performance with notes of bergamot, petit grain, orange and neroli, while the main story of jasmine and violet unfold in a dramatic and perfect way just like the roles of Alfredo Germont and Violetta Valéry. In the background as a second role the careful audience will notice a second play of ylang-ylang and orange blossom. The finale leaves a tender and powdery feeling with notes of vanilla, tonka, incense and white musk.

The bottle of this year's limited edition follows the form of Le Bolshoi 2011 but updated with different accents and color theme. Le Bolshoi Saison 2012 La Traviata has a black label and pump with the neck of the bottle dressed in three strands of dark red beads and a cameo pendant. This reminds us of the final act of La Traviata where dying Violetta, hands over the medallion to her lover asking him to give to his future bride.

Le Bolshoi Saison 2012 La Traviata by Guerlain will be available in 60ml versions of Eau De Parfum concentration exclusively in Moscow from September 2012. A limited number of 655 pieces will be available with a price of 685USD. There will also be a limited number available for sale at the Champs-Élysées boutique.
